I am not sure if I am allowed to write this but I wanted to draw your attention to a post in AIBU about a Muslim woman who had been separated from her children after her husband abandoned her overseas. I am hoping that someone might have advice, contacts or even be able to offer moral support. The title in AIBU is about someone in authority helping.

I'd suggest making contact with the Muslim Women's Network helpline (mwnuk.com, I think) and Amina - the Muslim Women's Resource Centre (mwrc.org.uk). InshaAllah they might be able to recommend other resources.

InshaAllah she can get back soon on a sponsored visa and then she'll need a good lawyer. I'll message you someone that comes to mind...

Thank you so much for your kind words. She has applied for a Domestic Abuse and Abadonment visa which I have helped her to complete. I wrote to my MP and also the children's MP to see if they can do anything to escalate the Visa process as its can take up to 6 months. If I don't get anyway, I will then write to the Minister of Immigration,

I have been researching about Child Arrangement orders thorough the family court so that she can at least see the children through video. Also, he has been having an affair with an Iranian woman for 2 years and there is rumours he wants to start a business in the middle east and would take them there (not the children's country of origin) so she needs to get an order so that they are not removed from the country without her permission. She needs my help to complete the form so we are having a video conference on saturday to complete the form. I believe there is a part where I can declare that I have assisted her with it as her written English is not adequate.

It is such a horrible situation. He already has two children from a first marriage to an English lady who he abandoned and has never contributed to their upbringing. She was desperately foolish to marry him but she didn't know the full extent of his relationship with his children until after she was in the UK.
He sends abusive messages to her family in Egypt mocking the situation knowing they are powerless. It is just one huge game for him...with the children paying the consequences. I really appreciate any moral support. I think this will be a long painful journey, first getting her to the UK and then trying to get the help of Women and Muslim organisations who can help. I am limited in what I can do alone.
