Wrapping presents!

Whats your style? 🎁
I used to use a variety of wrapping paper, any theme.
Then I started doing one roll per child so no need for name tags.
This year I’m using Kraft paper, with a different colour ribbon for each family member. I’ve pulled an all-nighter and I still haven’t found some gifts that I hid from the kids…. 🫣

When you hide gifts next year take photos of where they are.

Why have I only just learned that I could do this?! 🙈

I used to hide gifts and then always forgot where at least 1 or 2 of them were. Now I tend to leave them in their packaging boxes until I'm ready to wrap and do a big wrapping session. I use different paper for each child and husband so don't need to label. I also bought personalised Eid sacks a few years ago so most of the gifts fit in there. Needs wrapping as the kids always peek! As a family we also do Secret Eidhi so I buy a roll of paper for that and write the labels so its all in one handwriting.

I do label gifts for others as i just use whatever wrapping paper is left. I haven't done ribbon this year but I do usually. I did kraft paper one year and added paper doilies and used twine instead of ribbon then in the morning I added a sprig of lavender.

Ah this has just reminded me I still need to wrap ours! We've only done gifts for kids this year. I always feel unprepared for Eid. In Sha Allah for Eid Al Adha I'll be better organised!

Reminder for next Eid : wrap presents when you get them and not the night before! That's a reminder for myself - I've just finished wrapping them 🥴
