....stuff I like at the mo, anything similar and partyish appreciated please:

  • Franz Ferdinand
  • Black Eyed Peas
  • Portishead
  • Arctic Monkeys
  • Ellie Goulding
  • Florence and the Machine
  • Mr Scruff
  • Stereophonics
  • La Roux

I must confess I know and like only the big headline tracks of these eg Starry Eyed, Take Me Out, I Gotta Feeling, I bet you look good on the dancefloor etc etc.

I also like dance tunes but am massively out of date on these. It would be great to get a playlist with a mix of feelgood indie/alternative and dance stuff.....Help!

.........and I should say if its not obvious its for an upcoming party.

Should I stick to headline tracks as its a party or should I do whole albums?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I've listened to this about 50 times tonight, Delphine Wakes, really catchy upbeat tune

If you have time, I'd stick to a few tunes by different artists, maybe whole albums later when people are a little too drunk to notice/care?

Oooh thanks KnickKnack I really like that

I think you're right about the albums.

Glasvegas
Belle and Sebastian "funny Little Frog"
Mano Negra or Mano Chao
Eiffel (?) "I'm Blue"
Paddy Casey "saints and sinners"
The Fratellis
