music for 6-10yr old boys?

I have no idea what to suggest, but am bored stiff of listening to HSM2 in the car everytime we go on a trip, and desperately need some ideas to download.

What bands/singers are your 6-10yr olds interested in?

Whatever is on the radio/top 40 at the moment. I have mine listening to some ACDC for classic air guitar moments at the lights, also some Frank Sinatra, old 60's and 70's tunes they like too.

My ds likes Abba, Queen, U2 ("Daddy" music!!), Hothouse Flowers, the Blues Brothers Soundtrack, 80's stuff (Back to the Future is current fave film!), the Proclaimers, "Grandpa Music" - Dean Martin mainly, the Hairspray soundtrack, and we have a 'kids classical' CD with lots of film stuff - Harry Potter, Star Wars etc.

ds likes the Killers, Scissor Sisters and Kings of Leon. He is also grooving to the Glee soundtrack at the moment.

My 3 all like listening to XFM and like most of the songs they hear. Maybe try that? (It's the only radio station they will listen to)

isn't it? I have never liked listening to radio, as too often really crap songs that I hate come on. WHereas I like (almost everything, a good 99% of what I hear on XFM. Cannot believe I only just discovered it. Still, better late than never, and thank God for internet radio

My DSs 6 and 8 are into AC/DC, Stones, Chuck Berry, Joe Jackson, Bruce, Elvis, Stray Cats. Great stuff for driving to . I make them mix CDs to get them into new things...

My kids like odd old stuff that me and DH also like!

eg Elvis Costello, Frank Sinatra, The Jam etc. Actually not sure what "etc" would be as those are a bit disparate!

DS2 especially likes Get Happy; DD likes Going Underground. Also big with all of them are things like Abba and the Beatles.
