I'll second listening to Rock Radio. I love it.

mumof2teenboys · 25/06/2009 13:08

Thunderduck

The Answer are on youtube (sorry cant do links) They aren't bad, a bit retro sounding but I suppose that is the kind of thing that will go down well. There is a rumour that Thin Lizzy are supporting on friday. Omg if they are! Even more excited now

Have fun everyone who is going, I am so looking forward to it!

The Answer are a bit retro - definitely a Led Zeppelin vibe going on there, but much better - never been much of a Zeppeling fan.
Thin Lizzy?? Who's singing??

12StoneNeedsToBe10 · 25/06/2009 13:14

Zeppelin
Not sure what a zeppeling is

Thunderduck · 25/06/2009 13:15

I can't say that I've ever heard of The Subways.

I'll check out The Answer on YT thankyou, 12stone.

PestoMonster · 25/06/2009 13:24

Have fun at AC/DC, am very . I saw them at Wembley too Fishie, and also at Donnington back in 1984!!

Thunderduck · 28/06/2009 19:19

I am that you got to see them at Donington.

Two days to go! I can't wait. I'm ridiculously excited. I've ordered a t-shirt, next day delivery, so should hopefully arrive on Tuesday.
Trying to find one in Glasgow has been near impossible this week.

I wanted the ''For Those About To Rock' one, but they were sold out, so have ordered the Highway To Hell one instead.

Off to watch Live at Donington now.

mumof2teenboys · 29/06/2009 09:06

Thought i'd come and tell you all. It was one of the best gigs i have ever been to. The support bands were ok but AC/DC were amazing. There aren't enough words to describe how fab they were.
How Angus manages to do what he does is beyond me
They played all the stuff you would expect but they also played a few new tracks.
Has got to be one of the best days ever

DH went on Friday and I have spent the whole weekend listening to him going on about it.

Thunderduck · 29/06/2009 09:28

That's great news Mumof2. I'm even more excited now. Glad you enjoyed it.

And Pag tell him to come on here and tell us about it. I need more details.

TheChilliMoose · 29/06/2009 09:38

Fantastic, Mumof2! I'm very jealous.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 29/06/2009 09:58

12StoneNeedsToBe10 · 30/06/2009 12:08

Yay - I knew you'd love it

Thunderduck · 30/06/2009 14:49

Just a few hours to go.

Thunderduck · 01/07/2009 08:57

Did your dh enjoy it Mrs Muddle?

It was incredible. They were all on top form.Brian was beyond awesome and Angus is a rock god.

I'd love to know where he gets his energy from. He never stopped moving.54 years old and he was duck walking, running up and down, kicking ass with his SG, and still doing his spins on the platform while playing and just generally being incredible.

MrsMuddle · 01/07/2009 19:56

He loved it, and is now sporting a particularly hideous concert t-shirt. We're going to France tomorrow, so I'll make sure it gets put in the wash, so that he can't take it. It's something for wearing in the privacy of his own home, I feel!

Wasn't amused that the Herald and the E Times both said it was good concert but "cliched"!

Thunderduck · 01/07/2009 21:32

Which t-shirt?

I still have my Highway To Hell t-shirt on. I love it.

Of course it's cliched. It's AC/DC, all part of their appeal personally. The papers may try to make it seem a negative thing but it isn't, You know what you're getting with them.

Thunderduck · 01/07/2009 21:33

Have fun in France btw, presuming that you are going for holiday purposes and not business or other.
