Anyone manage to get Fontaines DC tickets?

In the presale today?

My DC adores them but was working today so couldn't go online so had to rely on friends who were unsuccessful. Full post mortem later so not sure if they were just unlucky or did something wrong but it does feel rather like the Oasis, Radiohead etc disappointment again - we never seem to be lucky with these events!

They will try for the main sale but wondering how likely they are to secure tickets. Not seeing the rants online like with the aforementioned bands so fingers crossed!

I managed to get some way after it looked like the pre sale had sold out.

But lesson learned for future is go via AXS not Ticketmaster (for o2 London) - I sat in a stuck queue on TM for an hour, tried AXS v late and when I got in, a few tickets kept popping up here and there on the seat map. It was like whack-a-mole but eventually I got 3 for me and DC. In future I am going to go straight to AXS for tickets, Ticketmaster is rubbish.

Good luck!

And edited to add, don't give up if it looks sold out, some will reappear!

Thank you, I'll tell them to keep trying. So stressful!

I did for Leeds - it will be my 6th time seeing them since 2019. Seen them at small venues (Brudenell Leeds) to Leeds Arena.

I am on their Facebook fan group and it sounds like a nightmare. I was lucky to be 246 in the Ticketmaster queue but there are reports of people being 10,000 in the 02 pre sale. The standing tickets went straight away according to the group

I would try for the main sale and then do Twicket alerts.

Crazy that they were playing 02'academy size 3 years ago.

Ooh wonder if they'll add extra dates then?

It's highly likely that there will be other dates announced - I would guess at at least one more O2 and Manchester.

They are doing a huge gig in Slane Castle (80,000) so more large outdoor UK gigs are also likely.

ikeepforgetting · 01/09/2026 20:53

Glastonbury headliners?

Sewaccidentprone · 01/09/2026 20:57

I got 2 from AXS. Though didn’t think I was going to manage to get any as it said my password was incorrect (was last used successfully in July 🙄)

after 30 mins of arsing around trying to reset password I eventually managed it.

this will be 2nd time at the same venue in Leeds. Was blown away last time

Geeseofbeverlyroad · 01/09/2026 21:00

I should add Slane Castle is Ireland not UK. They played Whytheshaw, Cardiff Castle, Exhibition park and Finsbury Park last year.

Getting concert tickets these days is an absolute nightmare. I remember the days of queueing outside the venue and getting a ticket no problem! Noah Kahan pre sale and regular sale a couple of months ago was insane, and so was the ticket prices! I also didn’t manage Oasis or Radiohead!

I was thinking the same, buying online has not made it easier at all! Feel sorry for the kids, we didn't realise how easy we had it!

They don’t have many gaps in their schedule looking at the dates they have already announced. Maybe one or two extra dates if they don’t want a day off between some locations.

We got through ok yesterday - Ticketmaster was faster (was 2800th in the queue and got through after about 10 mins) but sold out of standing as I put them into my basket. Switched over to AXS where I’d got to the front as well by that point and they seemed to have much more inventory. They are the official partner to our local venue though so I should have guessed that would be the case.

I’m good at tickets. We went to Oasis and Radiohead. It mostly takes perseverance and an acceptance that tickets don’t cost £30 anymore.

Second Slane Castle date announced.

Good luck to those trying for tickets tomorrow.

Glastonbury headliners?

Unlikely as two nights at Slane Castle are that weekend. Their 2019 Glasto set is really worth checking out

LoudSnoringDog · 02/09/2026 18:32

No! DD is gutted!!

bowchicawowwow · 02/09/2026 19:30

I saw some yesterday quite late on Birmingham Ticket Factory but they were VIP and £££

Good luck everyone for the main sale today! My DC is working again and is having to rely on their friends (several will be trying), they can only do their best and what will be will be! I'm not hopeful but will be amazing if they can pull it off. A classic example of technology making things harder, not easier sadly.

I've not heard good things about today on the fan group's I'm on. I personally think there is scope to add another London date as it is the last date of the tour.

Not heard from my DC as at work. Really hope you're right re London as that's the one they want 🙏

I tried presale for Fontaines for Liverpool on two different accounts on two different laptops, was 300th in queue and no tickets left when I got through at 10.16.
Daughter has tried today for Liverpool and Manchester, no tickets to buy, maps greyed out at 10.05 and 10.20. I've tried Leeds same issue there. Daughter then tried Slane, no tickets for new date there either. Its a joke, who's managing to buy all these tickets in 5 minutes! Hoping twickets comes up trumps now.

Livingthedream1978 · 03/09/2026 11:18

My 16 year old and his friend have tickets for Leeds. They had to get seated in pre-sale as standing tickets were all gone but got very good seats. I’d never even heard of them until about a month ago 🤣

croisette · 03/09/2026 17:59

AXS really isn’t great at all, getting tickets for any popular show is pretty fraught and it will kick you out a lot more for detecting unusual activity (even when you havent). Generally I think Ticketmaster is more reliable although it has its moments/dynamic pricing etc

Instacrap · 04/09/2026 08:28

Nope, no tickets again, despite their best efforts, it really does feel like a lottery. I think they're going to try for the summer tickets but seems a long way off and they're not even sure they'll be able to make it (assuming they actually get tickets), think they're sick of the whole thing now! I did have a look late afternoon and there were a few not great tickets for around £300, no way can they pay that as students! So sad it's come to this! I remember paying £8 to see Spandau Ballet back in the 80s when they were massive 🤣. And I got tickets easily!

Nightmare trying to get tickets.
We saw them in Cadiz recently. I drove to the venue, was already in Spain, and paid €60 each IIRC.
Right place, right time
