Anyone stayed at Crowne Plaza Ealing for Wembley Gig? Travel logistics help needed.

Just wondered if anyone has stayed at this hotel before when attending a gig at Wembley? Going to Bon Jovi this Sunday and have this hotel booked, looking for most efficient way of getting to and from the stadium on gig day. Thanks

Speaking as someone who lived in Wembley I would get a taxi

the route is by local bus (es) and is a bit roundabout and involves going to Stonebridge Park which is a bit dodge

You cant get taxis back from Wembley on an event day, they close the routes off.

I’ve stayed at the Premier Inn right next to the Crown Plaza & they had instructions for getting to Wembley in the reception area. It didn’t seem an easy route and involved walking to Park Royal tube and changing onto the Metropolitan line at Rayners Lane. It takes about an hour.

TFL recommends the 483 bus although it looks like due to the concert it will stop at Wembley Central station and then we'll have to walk the rest of the way. I looked at booking an Uber in advance but have never used Uber before and although it's currently quoting around £25 and 15 mins think it will probably take longer on the day and will they end up charging me more?

Yes there is a specific uber pick/drop area about ten mins walk from the stadium near the parking lots. it’s very busy and crowded and will definitely cost more than a non event day.

And getting out of the area by car is an absolute nightmare. It took us 90 minutes to get out of the area.

I can get home on the bus from Ealing, but getting from Wembley to Ealing after a concert wasn’t easy. Buses are re-routed and bus stops closed but TFL doesn’t seem to update to include this on the night!

Hotel location is great for Wembley but as PP have said, traffic after events is absolutely diabolical! Somehow people manage though so I’m sure you’ll get there.
