Record player/stack?

I’ve been left some money and I’d like to recreate a sort of stack, like I had when I was a teen. So a turntable and CD player, speakers.
Obviously I’ve not looked at them yet, we do have a shop in the city that I’ll go to, so any suggestions/recommendations before I go in?

They advised me on buying a turntable, amplifier, speakers and all the cabling which were definitely not top of the range but are really good for the space I wanted to put them in. The lads in the shop were knowledgeable, friendly and non-patronising and the purchase and delivery was seamless. Highly recommended.
