Hi everyone,

My 12-year-old is absolutely convinced that The Purcell School is the right place for them, and we’re currently exploring the possibility of applying.

I’d really appreciate hearing from any current or recent Purcell parents, particularly boarding parents.

I’m especially interested in:
• Pastoral care and student wellbeing
• Safeguarding and how concerns are handled
• Boarding life for younger pupils
• Communication between school and parents
• How supported children feel emotionally and academically
• Any positives, challenges, or things you wish you’d known before joining

Honestly these schools are so small, people will be reluctant to post publicly as children will be identifiable. You would be better posting on the music thread on extra curricular.
