ooh I can't wait either! Going to see them on Tuesday.

I've seen them before in Melbourne in 2005, they were amazing!

northernsoul · 22/06/2008 15:00

I'll be watching them in Manchester next sunday and i can't wait.
Bat for Lashes and MGMT are supporting and looking forward to those too.
I saw Radiohead a few years ago in Warrington they played in a big top tent and it was something else. Thom Yorks voice is truly special!!

AbbyMumsnet · 23/06/2008 18:22

Going tomorrow, can't wait!

jette · 24/06/2008 12:15

Going today - have got to admit I'm not really that excited! I don't know what's wrong with me.. I'm anticipating bad sound, hours of standing around, losing friends in the crowd etc.. I think I might be getting old!

aDad · 24/06/2008 12:16

Going Wednesday!

AbbyMumsnet · 25/06/2008 10:42

T'was v v good. Aware that's not much of a critique but am sure you'll enjoy tonight, Adad.

CountessDracula · 25/06/2008 10:43

Yes they are great live
have seen them about 8 times!
Not going to this one though

aDad · 25/06/2008 10:47

Great stuff. Pleased to hear it.

Boring question- what's the nearest tube? The directions with the ticket are rubbish! They make it look like it's walkable from half of North London.

And, what time did they come on? I can't get there very early.

AbbyMumsnet · 25/06/2008 11:34

We walked from Mile End - took about ten minutes or so. Getting out was another matter - took ages to get back to tube and, when we did finally get there, the police were directing you way past it to the back of a massive queue. Quicker to walk on past Mile End (with station on your right) until you get to Bow Lane about another five minutes away (queue for Mile End station would have taken at least 15 just to get into station). That said, other stations might have been easier to access.

They came on around 8.30 and played until 10.30.

Set list - which will no doubt differ tonight:

'15 Step'
'All I Need'
'The National Anthem'
'Pyramid Song'
'Weird Fishes/Arpeggi'
'The Gloaming'
'Dollars And Cents'
'Faust Arp'
'There There'
'Climbing Up The Walls'
'Everything In Its Right Place'
'How To Disappear Completely'
'Jigsaw Falling Into Place'
'Bangers + Mash'
'Planet Telex'
'The Tourist'
'Cymbal Rush'
'You And Whose Army'

aDad · 25/06/2008 11:40

Thanks for the comprehensive response Abby!

Eek sounds awkward leaving. Oh for a chauffeur...

AbbyMumsnet · 25/06/2008 11:45

Or a Tardis.

malovitt · 26/06/2008 01:32

Just got back in - a great night. Took 2 and a half hours to get the ten miles home after but worth it. So glad they did Karma Police tonight, one of my favourites.

harleyd · 26/06/2008 08:17

Looks like you got the best ending - ours just petered out a bit, tbh!

OverMyDeadBody · 26/06/2008 18:27

It was really really good!!

I lost all my friends as soon as we made our way to the stage when they started, but that didn't matter at all! TY was, admittedly, rather tiny, but the sound was great and they where, as to be expected, great performers and a tight band.

Glad everyone else who was there enjoyed it!

I also loved people watching, especially walking back to mile end tube, so many different people, it's great!

Abby the ending was superb, predictably the crowd went wild!
