I say mine was frank black and the catholics, it was in fact Robbie Williams haha

I got dragged there by an ex-girlfriend in the mid 90s to see Emmylou Harris on her Wrecking Ball tour. I'd never listened to any of her stuff before and I was definitely not a country fan but I was absolutely transfixed. What a performance.

The Kids From Fame, and great fun it was too.

1989 - Ride at Birmingham Irish Centre.

I love Ride! Think they still perform.

I saw them twice the second time was at Ibrox in about 1985. Both were great. Pretty good live I think.

Nana Mouskouri followed by Status Quo the next day, I was 16.

They do! I saw them last year doing the 30th anniversary of Going Blank Again tour.

First proper gig was Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (support was The Kills).

I’m presuming radio 1 / local radio station roadshows where several artist mime to a backing track don’t count.

I saw them too tho not my first I bloody loved them. What a scumbag he is.

Went on to see them about 25 times over the following decades.

My first gig outside festivals was Carter too - Leeds 1993. I was nearly 13.

First concert was Take That. First proper gig was The Charlatans. Should have been Cast but it got postponed so happened after The Charlatans.

I tell people that my first gig was the White Riot tour in May 1977, which featured the Clash, Buzzcocks, Subway Sect, no the Slits. I have decided that the Cliff Richard gig I attended with my parents a few years before didn’t count.
