Absolute radio have recently done a countdown of the most popular Britpop (and some Manchester) tracks. There was a lot of good songs, but there is a few lesser known songs that I love.
Mine are:
Everything will flow by Suede.
Alma Matters by Morrissey
Get higher by Black grape
Corpses by Ian Brown
You can talk to me by Seahorses
Coffee and TV by Blur
5:19 and 'Untouchable' by Rialto
This is Hardcore by pulp
Stand by me by oasis (until the Halifax advert 😡)

He has aged very well - I think Rialto are support for a few Britpop bands next year.

Something Changed by Pulp

Anything by Cast. Saw them live last year and had forgotten how good they are, a cd is currently in my car. If you see them listed near you they are worth checking out, saw sleeper on the same bill, and tickets didn’t require a second mortgage bought the night before! (Fratallis headlined)

Longpigs - On & On
Suede - Together (Not to be confused with Stay Together….which is also an epic tune)
Oasis - D’ya wanna be a spaceman

Not So Manic Now Dubstar

Great recommendations on this thread! I loved Rialto 5:19 and also My Life Story The King of Kissingdom.

One of my other top songs of the 90s has to be Where’s Me Jumper by The Sultans of Ping.

Other top bands for me were The Bluetones, The Seahorses and 3 Colours Red. On a slightly heavier note, Therapy? and The Wildhearts too.

Ahh such a good decade of music!

So much good music!
EMF and Carter USM had some great tracks too.

Dry the Rain by the Beta Band.

‘I will now sell five copies of the Three E.P.s by the Beta Band.’
’Do it.’

Tighten up by Electronic

Reality is a fab song. Everyone else my age only knows Getting away with it.

King of the Kerb by Echobelly
Goldfinger by Ash

Oh god, Goldfinger by Ash is SO nostalgic. I think I was all of about 13 the first time I heard it.

Such a great film. I heard they made a television show version, but I haven’t seen it.

@FFSToEverythingSince2020 Similarly, I received this on cassette as a single for my 15th birthday!
