2026 family-friendly festivals but with current acts

Just got back from Feastival which we all loved, but this is our third festival where most of the music has been from our youth, and I feel a bit guilty that the kids watch me losing the plot over Britpop stuff while there's not much that's current. So, looking for something new for 2026. Unfortunately Latitude clashes with a holiday we've already booked, but what else is there that is relatively family friendly (DTDs will be 14) but has artists they'll be familiar with? I think they're too young (and I'm too old) for Reading, and we'll try for Glastonbury, but would love your alternative suggestions.

We love Deer Shed in North Yorkshire - it's usually a real mix of acts including a load of up and coming ones. You get a real mix of ages and plenty of teens. There's tons of activities for all ages. Live music goes off about midnight so you get a good night's sleep. One of the cheaper family festivals too. I think it might be the same weekend as Latitude though! It's a popular weekend for festivals.

@toycat yes, it is that weekend, rats! Just had a look and it's fab. But, sadly, we will be on a plane...

Belladrum (far North) would probably fit the bill. Very family friendly vibes but fairly current music.

Isle of Wight? Kendall Callling? Both usually have a good mix of acts both ‘old’ and ‘new’.

Yes, I saw Kendal Calling...has anyone been? Or Camper Calling??

I know people who have been and loved it. It’s a very laid back festival.

Also add Standon Calling to your list to consider. We’re likely to do that one when our daughter is a bit older.
