I'm going on Saturday - SO EXCITED! Going on my own as DH could not bloody decide within the few minute booking window.
Anyone been to the Manchester gig or going to Glasgow tonight? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Anyone going on 20th?

I'm going on 27th and I am counting down the hours!! Sooooo bloody excited!

My first time seeing them.

SheldontheWonderSchlong · 17/06/2024 20:35

Going on Thursday. Just me and the kids - our first stadium concert and I'm only 2 months out from my last chemo so it's going to be a bit of a slog but I'm getting more excited now it's nearly here!
Really looking forward to seeing Wet Leg as well.

MissRainbowBrite · 17/06/2024 20:37

We're going on Saturday and have friends who went to Manchester who said it was amazing. They also said that the sets were different from Thursday to Saturday.

ApolloandDaphne · 18/06/2024 06:29

I was in Glasgow last night. They were amazing! Seeing them has been on my bucket list for a long time.

megacat · 18/06/2024 06:37

Get there early and you'll get a wristband for the front pit, once you have that you can come and go as you please and it's easy enough to exit for toilets etc. Our view was just incredible and I was fully expecting to be right at the back given it's mostly general admission.

Fluffyhoglets · 18/06/2024 16:51

I went Saturday in Manchester. First time I've seen them and it was brilliant.
They seem to be mixing up the playlist/order of stuff a bit but I think you'll get the big hits each night.
Honestly it's amazing.
We could have has seats in the unreserved seating if needed but stood fairly near front but not in the pit circle as didn't know about that! Not sure we were there early enough to get in either even if we had known. I did limit liquid consumption to avoid having to go to the loo once I was stood in my spot!

Maddy70 · 18/06/2024 17:33

I have seen every tour. I had to sell my tickets for this one as I am unwell. You will not be disappointed!

They are seriously the best live band ever

Sarahconnor1 · 18/06/2024 17:42

I was at old trafford on Saturday, brilliant again!

Pebbles16 · 19/06/2024 15:38

I watched their gig at Daytona earlier this year (it's on YouTube), I'm so excited. Would highly recommend (depending on your views of fan videos - but it is the whole set).
Last time I saw them was at Brixton Academy in 1999 (errr.. how did that happen?!).

@SheldontheWonderSchlong wishing you a fabulous time. I would have liked to have seen Wet Leg, it's Courtney Barnett and Hot Milk on Saturday.

@Pebbles16
Ah thank you!
Hoping you have a brilliant time as well. Only one more sleep for us....!

Spaghettihoops1 · 19/06/2024 15:50

Meeee! It's about the 10th time I've seen them, I love me some foo

Sunset28 · 20/06/2024 16:08

Going tonight, never seen them live. 😁

TheMessThatYouLeftWhenYouWentAway · 20/06/2024 16:16

I was at the Glasgow gig on Monday. I'm still buzzing and reeling. Honestly the most incredible night and you are going to love it!

It was my third time seeing them and this topped all the others. Dave is going to go down in history as one of best frontmen. He's not just an uber-talented musician but so personable and funny - he riffs off the crowd so effortlessly. The atmosphere in the stadium was amazing - the whole place was buzzing but it was also very emotional in parts. Taylor's prescence was there throgh the whole thing and is was beautiful.

poppymango · 20/06/2024 16:18

Anyone else going tonight in London?? I’ve not seen them since V Festival 2003 (😱) and I AM SO EXCITED!

afaloren · 20/06/2024 16:20

On our way now! Never seen them before and these are last minute tickets as some friends couldn’t make it so I am very excited!

shockeditellyou · 20/06/2024 16:27

DH is taking DD on Saturday in London - I'm quite nervous as I think she's a bit too young (11) but previous MN threads said she'd be fine!
Hope you all have a ball!

Aww that’s really cool! She’ll be small enough to sit on his shoulders. My parents were never cool enough to take me to a rock gig 😂

There was a family sitting in front of us in Glasgow. The kids were maybe around 8 & 11. The younger one got tired but the older one had a ball! It's very sweary so best to forewarn your DD if she isn't used to being around people who swear much. All good natured though. We saw no trouble whatsoever. Everyone was patient and chilled.

poppymango · 20/06/2024 17:48

Bf is really late meeting me from work so we might miss the support band 😔 sad times

10pfreddos · 20/06/2024 17:51

I'm going on 25th! So excited 🥳

TheMessThatYouLeftWhenYouWentAway · 20/06/2024 19:02

We also had a family with kids in front of us and for the most part they were great and I really enjoyed seeing them totally awed by the whole thing and rocking out to songs The Pretender and Monkey Wrench. It made me wish that my parents had engaged with my music tastes and done things like that with me at that age rather than constant fighting about "that noise".

My only complaint, and something to watch for if bringing kids, is that they got a bit fidgety and were mucking about during the quieter and also the more obscure songs. Clearly if they didn't know the song and couldn't dance then they weren't interested and that was distracting and annoying for people around. Especially at one point, Dave was getting quite emotional but the were giggling and not paying attention. The folk beside us did have a firm but polite word though and it did the trick - their mother was fab, absolutely no drama about it but noted that she hadn't realised their behaviour was distracting for others so made sure they stopped and there were no repeats.

InspectorGidget · 20/06/2024 20:27

We went to Manchester last Tuesday.

We love the foos and have seen them a few times.

You are in for a treat! Enjoy!

functioningadult · 20/06/2024 20:36

I went last Thursday and I'm going again next Thursday. Was amazing and I wish I'd got tickets for more dates

Fluffyhoglets · 21/06/2024 23:56

I also wish I'd got tickets for more than one date but I will know next time that one night just isn't enough!
