Travel to the 02

I'm wondering whether to drive and park for the 02 or go by tube.

Is parking a nightmare?

I can't comment on parking but we went last year and getting home on the tube/bus was a nightmare! Queued for ages. If parking isn't an issue I'd drive

I always find the 02 parking quite good. It's usually easy to get out of the car park at the end of the event especially if you choose carefully where you park (facing out near the exit). Pre book it though.

Parking is quite expensive. We usually park at Westfield Stratford and get the tube from there. Most people are going the opposite way on the tube so the Stratford end is quieter. Also, depending on where you're coming from, Stratford is the 'right' side of the river.

This is what we did last time. Worked well

We parked there recently and it was great. Not the cheapest but it is so much easier and quicker than the queuing just to get into the tube station after an event! I’d recommend parking close to the exit of the car park but it only took us a few minutes to get out.

Just to report back we were at the O2 on Saturday night at a sell out gig. Had to queue for the tube after and we were on within 20 minutes which I didn't think was too bad. It was all very civilised

We went recently by tube and we got on the first train out - it was very straightforward!
