Trinity College digital music grade - is it worth asking for a review?

DD got a merit in grade 8 vocals, which is great and we're v. pleased. However, she's a bit disappointed not least because a couple of the uni courses she's looking at require grade 8 distinction if you want to do a performance module. Has anyone asked for a review? We've been sent a link and it would certainly be cheaper and, more importantly, a lot less hassle than retaking. Probably not worth it but any advice welcome.

Most performance courses would require an audition, can she not audition once she gets there for specific modules if she already has an offer for the course. Most places are less bothered about the exam than your actual ability and potential. Good luck with her course.

Thanks for coming back. Yes, some do and we're looking into it, but the course she's really interested in is very specific about having a grade 8 distinction in one instrument and grade 7 theory (so not asking for much then:)). She's done plenty of auditions so knows what to expect with those. We'll probably just retake - her submission was a handful of marks off a distinction so crossed fingers the stars will line up next time and she can move on.
