I saw your thread about the 90's music being the best TM but I had to disagree I'm a 70's/80's boy at heart myself with all that punk/scar/newromantic music, I thought it was a brilliant time for music. But still, each to their own eh!

you know bgd i actually love 70's & 80's music. i was just in a bit of a "charlatans" "verve" mood that day. i loved all the punk stuff from the 70's. the clash are one of my fave bands.

A client of mine who knows Mick Jones was telling me that in the early days of punk the music was played alot in Brixton and places like that and punk tended to be played in the clubs that had Ska music as well, hence the song story. Clubs at that time were full of punks and Ska's.
