Yay! Tickets arrived this morning! So nervous and excited, never been before. What do I need to pack?

you will love it - it’s my second time was there 2019!

I am just taking, shorts, some T-shirts, leggings, tights, a warm jumper, rain coat doc martins as my main shoes for the festival! A pair of flip flops to run to the toilet at night in from my tent!

Feels like it's creeping up really fast. I've got a few lists but think I've got most things now. Just getting a few bits on my Tesco delivery this week to take.

We're staying off site so a bit easier to take stuff/leave in car but will be a trek each day! I've been around 8 times but last time was in 2007 so think I'm going to physically struggle this year

@liveeverysecond oh god - me too. I'm actually quite worried about how I am going to cope as the last time I went was 2005! We're staying off-site as well, and I'm a bit concerned that I'm going to need an afternoon nap!

Plus most of the stuff I want to see seems to be in the middle of the night!

@onemouseplace Glad it's not just me! I keep telling me the better sleep, showers, toilets will outweigh getting in and out but I'm not sure getting really excited now though... just need to finish getting stuff sorted!

Just being nosey…but do you do drugs there? Does it make the experience better?

We really want to try for tickets next time (tried a few times as a teen/early 20's something but never got them) but don't think I could hack the camping anymore so I'm interested to see some of you are staying off site, whereabouts have you booked if you don't mind me asking?

@LimesandClementines we've booked Ziggucamp which is a glamping site down the road. Shuttle bus runs 24 hours per day so hopefully will go ok... just a walk in each day and out each evening! Ziggucamp has bell tents, with a bar area, showers/toilets, tents for hairdryers etc so nicer facilities but don't have the convenience of tent onsite!

Oooh enjoy everyone. I went every year from 88 (when I was 17) to 99 when I found out I was pregnant so sold my ticket and not been since. I used to get a discount and early releases tickets from being a Greenpeace member - it was about £60 in those good old days. Crazy eh.

My ExH who was part of the group I went with back in the day, went back a few years ago (something to do with Boy George) and told me it was completely unrecognisable from before - very commercialised now.

Hope you all have a super smashing time - I have some great memories and some very hazy memories and I'm glad there were no camera phones back then!
