How to resell resale tickets (Ticketmastwr)

DH bought some Ed Sheeran resale tickets on ticket master for me for Christmas. He didn’t check the calendar and it turns out that we’re on holiday on the dates he chose. Because they’re resale tickets, ticket master won’t offer a refund and we’re not able to resell them on ticket master. We can’t currently sell them on elsewhere because they haven’t sent us the tickets, apparently they’re ‘pending’.

Anyone know how we can sell them on? Ticketmaster are being very unhelpful

I’m in the same boat with this. Mine are with see tickets and they aren’t offering their fan to fan resale facility. So I have no idea how to sell them! I don’t want a profit just some money back!
It doesn’t seem like it should be my problem they are pausing their resale site! Have you had any luck?

Twickets is very good and reliable.

we have Ed sheeran tickets too bought direct from see tickets are we still haven't got our tickets it just says pending and they will be available to view closer to the event. so I suppose it is difficult to sell them on privately if don't yet have actual tickets so send on to someone. I should imagine they will be easy to sell on though closer to the event when you do get them as Ed sheeran is popular and sells out quick.

I don’t think you can sell them privately at all though? The blurb says need photo id with the tickets and no resales unless through their fan to fan. But when you click the fan to fan link it says sorry we don’t do it anymore!
I would be happy with twicketts and Ed used to say sell on there but I really don’t think you can now because Of the photo id issue?
I don’t want to make a profit as just would like a fair refund price

bigyellowTpot · 22/02/2022 23:18

@Custardpudding do you mean photo ID of the ticket purchaser to get into the concert as the tickets will have the original purchasers name on?? If so I didn't know that. If that's the case I can see why they'd be difficult to sell on privately. and il have to remember to take some photo ID when I attend concert. I've never heard of this before.

Custardpudding · 23/02/2022 07:25

Yes that’s what it says now! But they say (on see tickets) you can sell on their ‘fan to fan’ resale page. It says ‘click here for it’
I click that and it says sorry this service is no longer available’
So it seems stuck with them as can’t sell if need photo id to get it to match you to the ticket?

bigyellowTpot · 23/02/2022 16:27

@Custardpudding i've never heard of needing to show photo ID with the tickets upon entry. what if the tickets have been purchased as a gift so original purchaser isn't attending the concert anyway. This doesn't make sense. is there an email address or phone number to contact see tickets? I've bought my daughter tickets to a different concert as a gift in July that I will not be attending bought through ticket master. hope same rules don't apply

Blurb.
CAN I CHANGE THE NAME ON MY ORDER?

Can I change the name on my order?
If the event is not name specific then no name change is required and you will be perfectly fine to gift your tickets to family/friends. If the event is name specific then the name cannot be amended and the lead booker will need to attend the event with ID to gain entry to the event. If you are unsure if the event is name specific the please check the more information section of the booking page.

bigyellowTpot · 23/02/2022 19:15

I don't remember seeing this name specific thing on see tickets when we booked ours for sheeran, mind you to be honest I didn't read anything just booked them quick in the excitement of being able to actually get tickets as they all sold out so quick on ticket master.
Il have to go on see tickets sight and have a look. Do all attendees need ID or just the ticket purchaser?
