Reading festival.. 32 weeks pregnant

Before I knew I was pregnant my husband and I booked reading festival as I've always wanted to go. We've only booked for the Friday and we wouldn't be camping but I was just wondering what people opinions would be on going at 32 weeks pregnant ?
I feel fine in myself and I don't see why I can't go for the day but at the same time would love to hear other peoples experiences.

Thanks!

I’d definitely go for the day. I did loads in my first pregnancy all the way to the end. I was going to gigs and on nights out until quite late on.

The only thing that would put me off a little bit is needing the loo frequently, so having to navigate porterloos and queues!

Yeah you’ll be fine but don’t drink too much liquid.

Ghastly place

I went to Leeds at about 30 weeks and it was fine. The main issue was it was absolutely knackering! It was a very wet year so there wasn’t a scrap of ground to sit on so it was standing all day, plus about 10 miles of walking in heavy mud. My best advice is to take a folding chair. Sure, it’s a bit of a ball ache but your back will thank you! Toilets are a pain but to be fair they’re a pain at festivals even when not pregnant.

@CraftyGin

Ghastly place
I suspect you won't be missed Grin

Have fun op!
You'll be fine, it's a big festival with tons of security & first aid (not to mention a stones throw from a hospital!)
I'd feel totally safe there in your shoes.

Have you had vaccine? My worry is you’d be mixing with the most at risk age group. Personally I don’t think I’d risk it because of Covid and loos!

SheABitSpicyToday · 18/08/2021 22:13

I’m jealous because I can’t even walk to the end of the road Sad

I went at 32 weeks pregnant 18 years ago and it was absolutely fine! My daughter is now going with her friends so watch out, you may be starting a serious habit for your offspring!
Enjoy 😊

I wouldn’t risk this in third trimester and covid

whisper1991 · 18/08/2021 22:20

Go for it!

CheddarToldMeTo · 18/08/2021 22:28

I used to live there. The festival site is a 5 min taxi to the hospital. Take your maternity notes with you just in case and enjoy yourself ❤️

ohfook · 18/08/2021 22:30

I'd go. I agree with other posters though take your maternity notes & a folding chair. Have fun!

Did you make it there op?

Amysullivan · 28/08/2021 07:53
