Late starter to learning the piano - advice please....

So I've always wanted to learn to play the piano. It was not really something that people in my 'world' did though and so now I'm nearly 50 and I'm going for it......would value opinions on digital pianos and any top tips about what to look for as beginner or what to avoid. I've till Sept 2019 to met my self imposed deadline of feeling that I can say I can play the piano.

I don't know much about digital pianos but I think there's been some threads on either here or at the extra-curricular board where people discuss this. I think at least you would want weighted keys.
