For some reason this track popped into my head today after hearing the Staple Singers 'Come go with me' which I also loved. I just thought I will type in the four or five lines of lyrics I can remember and it will pop up but oh no. Two hours later and has really become an issue.
I was a seventies disco queen and loved this sort of music and one that always got me out of my seat (early to mid seventies went something like this :
'Tell me what you want and you know Ill try to get it,
Tell me what you need and Ill find a way to get it,
And if I don't succeed believe me darling I've tried I've tried
....So tell me ...if love is what you need , you'll know I'll try to get it ' etc etc
It was a very catchy tune and the emphasis was on the 'Tell me ' on every line and it was just a slightly quicker tempo than 'Come go with me'
It's not the more recent one the Staple Singers did either with similiar opening lyrics it was definitely played around 1973 bto 1976/76 in discos mainly.
