I was listening to Muse on Zane Lowe tonight.
I am normally quite vocal about how much I don't like Muse but I have to say I like this! Perhaps because it doesn't sound like Muse!!

Valpollicella · 20/08/2012 22:37

Yes, very true iknowho! It's v different to their back catalogue

I don't know if it's a good choice as a first single though.... bit 'ballady'?

To me it's an album track that is great but not the first proper single....

I now see what you mean about Brian May in the middle.

I quite like it...

I mean they are Queen's nephews or godchildren or something, aren;t they? Wink

I'm not sure yet. I read something saying it was like a cross between Faith by George Michael, and Break Free by Queen and I think it's hard to argue against that really. It's growing on me but I'm not convinced!

Valpollicella · 24/08/2012 23:30

Don't read about it Spammer. Just stick it on and listen.

And it's def not got Faith Other than than a similar synth...Grin

Where are you?

Sorry, I had my fingers in my ears going la-la-la-I-can't-hear-you. Have they ever started stopped playing that embarassing Olympic song yet. I wat to curl up and die every time I hear it.
Don't rate this, either. They have lost the plot. Am quite pleased now that I haven't got tickets for the tour.Sad

NicholasTeakozy · 28/08/2012 17:53

No. Just not my taste. I like most of their stuff, but not this.

Valpollicella · 20/09/2012 21:58

Luffs them. And the song

I was listening to Radio 1 (Hmm DS was in charge of the car radio) last night and they had an interview and payed some more of the new tracks. It's not my taste at all. I want rock'n'roll - loud, raw and emotive - not this overly-measured, cold confection.
I can't believe that this is the same band that created Hysteria, Plug in Baby and Stockholm Syndrome. SadSad

I hate it right up to the 'come to me, just in a dream' bit at the very end! I miss the old Muse...

Valpollicella · 25/09/2012 21:56

'Trust in the the dream'

I am missing them to after listening to the new stuff.

Well, at least the old stuff doesn't get deleted when a new one comes out Grin

They have their moments on the new stuff. Matt Bellamy has said this is the first album in a LONG time they have lyrics about relationships. Yoko Kate has obv had an influence on this album Wink

Going to see them tonight in Manchester. Can't wait!

Slightly disappointed in the new album though.

I like Panic Station lots though. Great bass line.
