Why do piano exam results take so long to come through?

I wondered why it takes 2 weeks, surely it could be done quicker?

TRinity exams give results the same day. Associated board just like to keep you on tenterhooks- they are meanies!

(they are also IMHO a much more varied bunch of examiners and tough/lax on marking in equal measure. We had one who asked DD2 if she had perfect pitch , and then gave 8/10(or what what ever) for aural comment " lovely responses"??? At least tell us where she lost the marks!)
