He was brilliant and I am now listening to Play Me on a loop. That's all.

ah, I see Grin

I have been unashamedly a fan all my life (although maybe not always a particularly outspoken one Grin)

do you really have the I'm a believer t shirt? I was tempted, and if they had had one in a women's fit, woudl have undoubtedly purchased one... am very Envy

I did boost my mug collection though Grin and am now officially a "Diamond Girl"

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/07/2011 21:25

I have just gone and put on the t-shirt in your and Neil's honour, silverfrog. It's not a bad fit although it has that annoyingly high neckline common to most band t-shirts.

Hi Maud! I love Neil D, as previosuly discussed, but did somebody mention Bazza D?! I utterly, utterly, UTTERLY heart Barry Manilow. Saw him in concert years ago and he was amazing. Nobody does a keychange quite like Bazza....

silverfrog · 16/07/2011 21:37

ooh, suits you, Maud (can I call you Maud?)

very nice.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/07/2011 22:01

::preens::

Please do call me Maud.

As a great fan of the Ukulele Orchestra of GB, I love this, but .

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/07/2011 23:10

Aha. Another keeper of the flame. What are your Diamond credentials, 2shoes?

OP posts:
2shoes · 16/07/2011 23:11

none I am afraid I just like him and appreciate how good he is

silverfrog · 16/07/2011 23:12

he was ace, 2shoes Grin

2shoes · 16/07/2011 23:14

at the moment we are watching bbc 2 and I am loving it.
ND is so talented I would love to see him live

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/07/2011 23:14

Those are impeccable credentials, 2shoes.

I love the UOGB, silverfrog, and have found fellow fans on MN, but was worried you might think that version was sacrilege.

weeeelllll, clearly not a patch on Neil, Maud, but then again - anyone who sings Neil Diamond must have class, surely? Grin

2shoes - next time, go and see him. definitely. he was so brilliant.

I dragged dh along, and even he was up and dancing by the end of it...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/07/2011 23:29

The lovely Neil did say he'd be back, God willing, in 2012. Or perhaps he said 2013. It was difficult to hear above all the sighing.

I didn't take my dh as I knew it would not be his cup of tea. Instead, I had four friends vying for the other ticket.
