I am sort of teaching dd to play the guitar. I learnt 30 odd years ago and am a bit rusty.
I was taught by the vicar's wife, and we learnt quite simple chords and then songs we could strum along to. It was great because it meant we could "play" really quickly while progressing so didn't get disheartened and bored. I had all my stuff hand written in a folder but think its all disappeared somewhere 
So can you recommend a book for us? It ideally needs to be songs dd would know, so nursery and traditional songs, Beatles maybe or Abba? Hymns (she learnt "He's got the whole world in His hands" yesterday with just 2 chords
- the first thing I ever learnt!)
