My 4 year old DD will dance to anything from nursery rhymes to Scissor Sisters.
I usually put on a CD I like and she either dances happily or complains and makes me change to something else!

Ruth - i don't necessarily listen to 'dancy' music. More miserable guitar music. She does love listening to Mumford and Sons and sings along merrily, but it is not get down and boogey music! Or. I listen to QoS or FooFighters type music, or violin music Grin

My 8 year old loves to dance to a song called "Dynamite" - I don't know who it is by but it is an r&b/dance artist.
