we're raising a glass to Don tonight and getting the Beefheart albums on as a tribute.

Tis the soundtrack to many of the nights of early 20's when we sat and drank into the early hours.

RIP Don - another one gone to the great gig in the sky.

Me too Snowqueen. (Good to find a fellow enthusiast)

In a world that revers the predictable and the puerile (ie relentless Xfactor) this is a loss indeed.

DP is older than me and discovered CB when he was 14 - it was my early 20's I found their music.

I saw the news this morning and went and broke it to DP. We both stood stunned and I had a few tears Blush
Saw The Magic Band at Glasto a few years ago, which is the closest i will ever get to the real thing.

Very sad news. Don't know much about his art though.
