Having to much to drink and tripping over someone's handbag probably.

BelligerentGhoul · 26/07/2010 23:13

Wham

Tiger Feet

Indie stuff (but most wedding djs don't play much of the stuff I like)

usualsuspect · 26/07/2010 23:17

It should have been me

We are Family

Dancing Queen

AnitaBush · 26/07/2010 23:18

Indie stuff is what I'm after.

It's not for me, it's for a colleague who's been left in the shit by a cancelling DJ with 2 weeks to go.

We are working on Plan B.

She likes the indie stuff - snow patrol, Keane etc and synthy stuff like Depeche Mode.

Not so much with the Rock but all genres considered.

And there will be Queen.

Any thoughts?

Come on Eileen (Dexy's) and Dizzy(can't remember who that's by), Abba and the Bee Gees.

I am not at all sad, honest.

PlumBumMum · 26/07/2010 23:19

Earlybird · 26/07/2010 23:20

PlumBumMum · 26/07/2010 23:20

Groove is the Heart by Deee-Lite

BelligerentGhoul · 26/07/2010 23:21

In that case you MUST have:
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Blue Monday - New Order
Personal Jesus - Depeche Mode
Eloise - The Damned
Living On The ceiling - Blancmange

chaostrulyreigns · 26/07/2010 23:23

Love Shack - B52's is a crowd pleaser.

AnitaBush · 26/07/2010 23:24

You lot are gooood!

OP posts:
BelligerentGhoul · 26/07/2010 23:24

Yes to Groove Is In The Heart and Love Shack

Probably Shiney Happy People by REM too.

The Cure - Friday I'm In Love

Something by The Human League but not sure which ones are dancey. Snow Patrol and Keane are not really dancey.

AnitaBush · 26/07/2010 23:25

We need to think of the aunties too...

OP posts:
Wordsonascreen · 26/07/2010 23:29

Old favorites

charlatans ; the only one i know
happy mondays (step on esp)

fairly current ones:

Drums : lets go surfing
One night only : say you don't want it

cheesesarnie · 26/07/2010 23:30

9 to 5 dolly parton

galletti · 26/07/2010 23:31

Bit of Tom Jones for the aunties? But, how old are they, they may be aunties of the 70's, and want Abba etc.

Earlybird · 26/07/2010 23:31

Aunties don't 'do' alternative ime, which is why you can think about the 'Dancing Queen' suggestions listed earlier in the thread.

Wordsonascreen · 26/07/2010 23:31

xfm did A top 100 indie floor fillers which was FAB

MIGHT have to mooch around the website though
