anyone else with a disability hate clothes shopping?

Does anyone else hate clothes shopping? I have cerebral palsy. Lost some weight which is great but means I need new trousers. Lovely stuff out there except that I can’t tie and most of the cotton or linen are drawstring. Also wide

Ideally I wouldn’t care what I look like and wear a lovely dress but I have to wear boots and a brace.

Tops fit one side sliding off the other. Oh to be rich and have tailor made clothes!!

I agree - I have CP and struggle to look at clothes in shops as I can't handle the items and keep hold of the crutches and can never face the changing rooms.

I also am conscious of nice clothes not pairing well with braces and NHS prescription shoes!

Nowadays I tend to wear one or two brands that I know fit - but even that is difficult as some items seem to have random sizing.

It's v boring but if I find trousers to fit I buy two or three pairs.

I just buy everything online and then send what I don't want back

I pretty much only shop online as well. I order from shops that I know the sizing of, or I just send things back if they don’t fit.

I do a lot online but like to feel the fabric. It does make shopping quicker - I can just straight away discount two or three rails of clothes in a few minutes while others compare.
