Speech and Language Therapist

Hello all. I'm looking for a private Speech and Language Therapist for my 10 years old son. We live in Bournemouth. Does anyone know how can I find one?!

Sounds basic but I just googled 'Speech Therapy + local area' which brought up a few suggestions. I also searched through local Mum Facebook groups to find recommendations. I found one with good Google reviews that was recommended on a local group and we went with them.

Are you looking for someone to provide regular therapy sessions or someone who will undertake an assessment e.g. for an EHCP? For the latter, people often look further afield - either travelling to someone out of area or a SALT travelling to them.

You could look at Jill Thornton. TCT has a few SALTs, which one would be a best fit would depend on DS’s presentation and what you want from it.
