Name changed for this one. I have a severe physical disability so trying to find suitable holiday accommodation is quite a challenge. I need hoists, shower beds etc. A lot of my friends are in a similar position but I wanted to post here to get some wider opinions.
For ages, I've dreamt of opening the UK's first fully accessible wedding venue and glamping site. The wedding part stems from how difficult I found finding a wedding venue that was actually accessible (not entering through the kitchen, honeymoon suite actually useable). This wouldn't just be great if the bride and/or groom had access needs but their guests too. Then there would be luxury cabins to stay in, either as part of the wedding or just separately. The cabins would be for more romantic retreats. There's quite a lot of accessible accommodation out there for families with disabled children so I'd want to tap into an under-served group. I'd also put a real focus on interacting with nature but obviously in an accessible way.
So if you were the target market, would this be somewhere you would go?
