Hi guys

ik sorry if I’m in the wrong group if I am will someone please let me know where this is best for?

my child has been awarded DLA and had a backdate payment 30 October I was wondering if anyone knew what the next payment date would be?

do you still go 4 weeks from that back payment date?

I believe so. Your payment date is every 4 weeks exactly. You should get a letter in the next week explaining it all or you could phone them and ask , they're very helpful.

@mollieangel123 your next payment should be on 27th November.

The letter you receive after your award is granted will confirm the date of your first regular payment and the ongoing payment schedule.

This letter will also specify the dates the back payment covered.

Count forward: Your next 4-weekly payment is usually due about 4 weeks after the last date covered by your back payment, or about 4 weeks after the back payment itself was made.

If your child has been awarded middle/higher rate DLA, you could also apply for carers allowance if you haven't already done so

If you received your backdated payment on 30th of October,

your next payment should be on 27th November and will be at the rate awarded (which will be low, middle or high, whichever one they've allowed for your child)
