Global Delay?

I’ve just had a meeting with DS disability social worker and LD nurse. The SW has said she thinks DH has Global Delay, as he struggles to put verbal instructions into practice, is this GDD as she says she wouldn’t say he was slow developmentally. Is she using the right terminology?

Usually GDD is diagnosed by a Paediatrician. It isn’t good that they used a label without further information.
I would seek some clarity from a Paediatrician. Has he had a SALT assessment?

You can Google definitions of GD and GDD online. Sounds like they may have made a generalised comment without clarification which isn’t helpful.

Never had an SALT assesment
