I needed to know if Charing Cross tube is step free. On the tube map it isn’t but when I google it is. Can someone help me please?

If the TfL map says it’s not step free I would go with that rather than google. Travelled through there this week and not aware of lifts and there are steps up from ticket hall to pavement. Could you go to Tottenham Court Road and then take the bus.

I don't think it's step free, no. TfL map definitely not showing it. Maybe when you google it's telling you about the mainline train station?

No, it's not step free. There's a flight of steps going up from the platforms to where the escalators start.

Thankyou all so much. That’s clarified it for me. It’s such a nightmare going up to London. Luckily I live near the Elizabeth line so yes I could get off at Tottenham Court Road and get a bus or taxi. I’m visiting Somerset house.
