PIP decision?

How soon after a decision is made do you get paid? Decision letter sent out on 8th. Not sure if it’s a yes or no yet though as the person I spoke to said they couldn’t access the decision yet-is that normal? I haven’t had a text either so I’m not optimistic for a good outcome

Dp got paid before the letter arrived.

We got the text saying the letter was on its way on a Friday. The money went in on a Tuesday and then letter arrived on Wednesday.

Am I right in thinking that you only get a text if you have been awarded?

That I don’t know. That is the first and only time I have had personal experience with applying for PIP.

Usually you would see your back payment into the bank before a letter arrives.

Not everyone who is awarded gets a text

I hope it's a positive outcome for you, but if you are turned (like most people are) then make sure you ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration. You can also request a copy of the assessor's report so you see exactly what was written. Good luck, it's an awful process 💐

My esa was stopped an forced into uc now told wrong an don't know what to do or how to go about it

@Biskitnwin That's terrible, did they say why your ESA was stopped? I dread this happening.

Because I was away for 6 weeks but your suppose to be ok for 12 weeks but cannot get them to change it back killing me. +GOT to have a medical for universal credit an till it's done I get £50 a week I was on £249 a week using swear words I never used to consider let me tell you 🙄

@Biskitnwin Sorry that's happened to you, it's really cruel. Especially to someone who is disabled and can't 'just' get a job. Try citizens advice bureau. I hope they can help

Because I was away for about 7 weeks ,they reckon that was a change of circumstances but you are allowed to be off grid for 12weeks before it affects your situation but they decide I'm wrong but citizens advice say I'm right still won't sort it I'm stressed an sick with it

@Biskitnwin They are very clearly in the wrong here. It appalling that you get punished for their mistake. DWP destroy people. It makes me so cross. I don't know what you can practically do to change the situation. I'm in some good support groups on Facebook, you'd get more traffic there than on here.

Loads tell me I'm right but getting the how to deal with the problem and actually get them listening . More chance waking up tomorrow a teenager again it's like they get off on breaking our spirit

Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.

My husband was awarded PIP in the summer. The wait for the decision was long but he got the backdated payments in his bank at the same time he got the letter.

Phone pip to see if they have made a decision and was told letter has been sent out, aint had any payments yet so thinking this is not a positive sign. As this happened to anyone else and as it been a positive outcome.

This text sounds like pip was denied.
