How did the peri-menopause affect you?

Whether you're diagnosed or not, I wonder how the peri-menopause affected you. For many of us we're undiagnosed and just starting to revisit our childhood through a new lens and wondering about neuro diversity around the time that our hormones are again changing. Does anyone know of any work in this area, e.g. whether changes in mood are worse for those with ASD etc?
I don't think I'm describing this very well.

My hypermobility went bonkers. Too bloody focused on that to think about ASD much, but this is when I started the diagnosis process so maybe more noticeable?

Definitely more symptomatic of being autistic. Feel less able to cope with everyday things. I’m not sure how much is perimenopause and how much is resurfacing in a hectic world after a blissful lockdown. What I do know is that HRT made a huge difference to my moods and the hormonal crap I was dealing with so now left to cope with the other crap. In many ways it has clarified what was hormones and what is my brain
