Wet room

I’ve been wondering lately if I should get a wet room put in. I have always had a chair in my roll in shower that I transfer to but cleaning the shower tray is becoming an absolute nightmare for me. I can’t get my wheelchair in close enough to do the full thing ie the drain. I bought a scrubber a while ago to scrub down the shower but can’t really get a good way into the drain with it. I really ain’t want to go down the OT route as I’ve been there done that with them for other items in the past and they’re useless in my area and I don’t want my house becoming clinical either. We can get one ourselves if we decide to. Does anybody have one they installed themselves? Are there nice ones out there? I

Sounds like a great investment. I would love a downstairs wet room and toilet. As soon as I get a job, I will get one!

Had one done for DS 3 years ago. It’s made such a difference to him. And us.

Ask the builder about discount for a disabled facility. We didn’t pay any VAT.

The trouble with things like this is every time the first thing they ask is - is the council paying for it? So they can bump up the price. This however is nothing to do with the council
