Pursuing additional diagnoses?

Around 5 years ago, I was diagnosed with ASD through the Maudsley Hospital. I’ve now discovered that in the report letter they sent to my GP and local consultant, they also recommended referral and additional support for this, and likely comorbid conditions, including ADHD assessment. This wasn’t mentioned in the report I received (a separate one was sent to me, cc’ed to GP).
Would it be fair to follow up with the GP now? It looks as though I’ve missed out on lots of support, further assessment, genetic testing, etc, that should have been offered 5 years ago? Is it too late?

See your GP. I’m presuming you have seen them for things other than asd in those past 5 years? Your gp might have acknowledged your diagnosis and mentioned support, “what’s next” etc. It’s remiss of hem that they didn’t.

I had a letter following diagnosis recently which outlined what’s available in terms of support etc. I know of others like you, who got a diagnosis, a handshake and nowt else until they asked for it.

Thank you Aunty. I’ve made an appt with my GP to discuss. The letter they received makes it clear that they should have followed up - there were multiple recommended referrals, but nothing was discussed with me.
