hello SN board.

I'm undergoing some coaching on being effective at work just now. It's highlighted some issues which are making me wonder about whether I may have ADHD (or at least strong traits). I'm certainly a bit different!

So I clicked on this board and was a bit overwhelmed. My issue is that I'm as-good-as-the-next-person at intimate relationships (family and close friends) and v. good at formal relationships but I'm all-at-sea with those semi-informal relationships: the whole PTA-committee-meeting-missing-the-signals-either-being-silent-or-blurting thing.

I suspect there are some old hands here I would appreciate a link to some threads I could read in my lunch hour....

TIA!

ringle I had an ahhh moment about 6months ago that I ve ADHD I am 44 female and 2 DS have it. I think it was obvious to my family growing up but never assessed.
I am struggling with new role at work even though I am extremely capable have an honours degree ect.
I am same blurting things out over chatty or silent! Forgetful anxious unorganised. Big thing for me was losing time, deadlines and making phone calls...
Anyway I went privately to physiatrist here not uk and started on concerta month ago. It has nt beeen a panacea and tbh I am disappointed. However I now realise I need to treat my anxiety as it's come to a head after a very personally distressing year...
I don't regret getting Dx but I have a lot of. Work to do and will try counselling if I can find some one I can afford and meds. Coaching is supposed to be brill again not sure I can afford it right now but you would need an add coach..
