Finding it hard to find a diagnostician

How can you tell who is a reliable asd diagnostician/assessor for women?Adult dd has been waiting to hear back from Lorna Wing after saying we could self fund and we were shocked to be told 6 months waiting and a fee of £1,900!!! ShockShockShock

I was assessed by a clinical psychologist who specialises in assessing women. It cost me £700 and involved screening questionnaires - which didn’t cost anything to have looked at - and a full days assessment.
