Starting the process!

After seven months of year of pushing for assessment, my GP has referred me!

I've filled in the AQ10 form (apparently scoring 9, but then I have major questions over the phrasing of the questions and my interpretation...) and I've emailed it back. I'll post it later today too.

What happens next, does anyone know? How long does it generally take?

I'm so excited. Even if it's a "no, you do not have Aspergers" I'll be closer to an answer of some sort I hope.

The process can be very different depending where you are. You should be able to google your local assessment service which might help.

My Gp referred DD and when I spoke to her about me she suggested evidence gathering. I did an online AQ test. I also did a print out of aspie traits then wrote about which applied to me and why. Gp has sent it all off but I've been told it's a long wait.
