Met GP- where to go next

So, I went to my GP on Saturday to mention the fact that I suspected I had ASD and wanted an assessment. I mentioned the fact that I was willing to go private due to waiting times etc. She wrote a letter to recommend that I get assessed, she was really nice about it.
So, as the title says, what kind of steps should I take next? I'm in southwest London.

If you've been referred it's just a waiting game. My doctor asked me if I had any supporting evidence she could send. I did an online AQ test and printed it out. I also printed out a list of ASD traits in women and wrote a letter that basically listed the ones that apply to me with examples. I was told I should get confirmation of having been referred within 6 weeks and then it's basically a 12-18 month wait.
