I'm 27 from Northamptonshire, a mum of 2.
Would love to find some local people to chat to who are similar to myself.

For me, I hope that finding likeminded people will help me become stronger and accept myself.

I have self diagnosed ASD/AS and I am awaiting an nhs refferal for diagnosis.

I'm also wondering whether this thread will take off as I think most of us like the idea of a meet up but as Polter says we are all probably rubbish at following through!

I was thinking the same Swiss perhaps it will still serve as a bit of a 'you are not alone' thing. Even if no meet ups happen.
I think knowing there are similar people locally will provide some comfort. But actually meeting... Well that is a different matter entirely!

I'm in Greater London (West) and am 29. After my sister, cousin and DS1 got ASD diagnoses I found out all my family and DH thought I was also autistic (I just thought I showed some 'traits'). It makes sense and I'm looking to get an assessment at some point next year.

I find getting out and about difficult because I don't drive and whilst DS1 is now at school I still have DS2 at home (two) and he can sometimes be hard work (also probably on the spectrum and he's been referred and we're waiting to hear about an assessment for him).

If I made actual plans, I probably wouldn't flake but I would be super anxious. I'd quite like to meet up with someone who has young kids too or doesn't mind me bringing DS2 along to somewhere (autistic) child friendly.

Hello all. 33 until next month. I've got three dd's and two have autism. I was diagnosed at 24 with borderline personality disorder. It didn't quite fit me but at the time I needed to feel validated that there was an issue and that I was just going mad. Once my six year old was diagnosed I started to look at aspergers and it really clicked with me. My father's cousin's son has aspergers and my dad and grandma show a lot of traits. I live just South of Cambridge.
