Tell us about restaurants/cafes and children to win £250

Hello. We've got a new prize survey for you!

We'd like to know what makes a good restaurant/café for you and your children.

What do you currently do when you fancy a cuppa with your baby/toddler/post-school-drop-off mates? And how you entertain your little ones whilst having a latte?

After some of the questions, there's a space for you to elaborate on your answer if you would like to. It's not compulsory but, if you feel strongly on the subject, we'd love to hear your views.

This survey is open to all mothers living in the UK.

And everyone who completes it will be entered into a prize draw to win £250.

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ.

I filled it in as a nanny so I understand if I'm not elligible to win.

I work during the week but I have holiday when I venture into cafes so I answered it and I apologise in advance if MNHQ snort tea out of their noses onto their keyboards when reading my 'ideal' cafe experience.

Another UK only survey ....So overseas mums ( and dads) don't come to the Uk and don't go to a cafe don't meet up with friends and don't go to any of the places mentioned........?

Hey ho !

Rindercella · 14/02/2010 09:49

Done.

D'ya know, sometimes the surveys/competitions on here aren't relevant to me. So I don't answer/enter them and nor do I bother having a moan commenting about that fact in the thread. Tis simples

justallovertheplace · 14/02/2010 11:16

Done. Frustrating survey though, I could have ticked 3 or 4 boxes but they insisted on only 2. Whoever this is for will not be getting the full picture imo

Rosa · 14/02/2010 12:25

The prize MUST go to Rinderella so she can split it with me please

EasyEggs · 14/02/2010 12:38

justallovertheplace pls feel free to add other comments on here (there were also boxes in the survey for other comments). We just wanted to get a feel for the most important factors - but appreciate other things - which are perhaps less important at an overall level - make a big difference, hence the 'other comment' boxes....

Done. Hopefully anyway, did it on my BlackBerry and think it submitted.
To be honest though I don't really need coffee shops to be much different. I wouldn't chose places where children were like to be running round, etc. But dd is getting older so easier anyway.

whomovedmychocolate · 14/02/2010 19:25

Rindercella, if whiners didn't whine we'd have four threads and tumbleweed rolling through certain topics

BonjourIvressedeNoel · 14/02/2010 19:54

bet its for Macdonalds ;-)

BertieBotts · 14/02/2010 20:31

Funny, was discussing this with some friends the other day.

Rindercella · 14/02/2010 21:00

Rosa - here's hoping!

WhoMoved, I am all for a good whine - funnily enough I did the other day in a cafe about the service I received & managed to get a full refund + loads of yummy goodies to take home, but it's got to be worth whining about imo. And whining about a single competition not being relevant is just plain daft imo. However, if I found that every single MN competition precluded me I would probably have a good old moan about it!

for me, the most important thing is decent food , nothing fancy. been to too many places where you get say, a tuna mayo sandwich, the breasd is stale, it's got a scrape of marge and the filling does not go to the edges and it's been cut in unequal pieces. with a bit of parsley and a few crips for garnish.

it's not rocket science ! decent food in kid focused places will get the parents to keep coming back

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 15/02/2010 16:35

DONE! agree is not best structured survey in the world but hey if it helps someone come up with a more kid friendly place to go, i'll do it!
