Hi everyone, my name is Marie and I am new here. I had my left hip replaced 12 years ago when I was 30 and ended up having a metal-on-metal reaction which ended up with me in the hospital with three fractures and a smashed pelvis. I was at home for five weeks without a hip, while a 3D profile was made for me. The year after I went in for my right hip replacement. I am now recovered and currently at college doing an access course in healthcare and I am starting university in September to study midwifery. For one of my assignments I have to do a research paper and I have decided to explore if pregnancy and childbirth has any effects on a total hip replacement. It is a small scale research so I am looking for 20 people to help me. If you have experience this, please can you spare a few minutes to take part in my survey. I would really appreciate your help.🙂
