We’re looking for 120 Mumsnetters with kids aged 2-6 to exclusively test out Soreen’s new Fruit & Veg-Mmms bakes which are coming soon to supermarkets. Selected testers will receive the following flavours to test:

Orange & Rainbow Carrot
Berry & Beetroot

Here’s what Soreen has to say: “With Soreen Fruit & Veg-Mmms it’s never been easier to squidge more fruit and veg into your little one’s diet! Packed with the goodness of orange & rainbow carrot, and berry & beetroot (not that they’d know!), they’re deliciously sweet, bursting with yummy flavours and high in fruit and veg too! With 5 individually wrapped bakes per pack, eating fruit and veg has never been easier or tastier.”

Selected testers will receive a multipack of each flavour (5 bakes per multipack) to test out with their children. Following testing the product, selected testers will need to give their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey, by 20th April.

If you’d like to find out about ingredient and nutritional information before signing up, please click here.

All testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

Based on the ingredients it is a product made of mainly white flour, then water, then approximately 16 grams of heavily processed fruits and sweet vegetables juices or concentrated puree probably void of any meaningful nutrients followed by the the usual crap (sugar, fibre thickening and gelling agents, rapeseed and palm fats. ) you find in all processed snack. The actual fruit/veg is in bold.

  • Fortified Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin (B3), Thiamin (B1)),
  • Water,
  • Blackberry & Beetroot Juice Blend (8%) made of (Concentrated: Pear Juice (25%), Red Beetroot Juice (25%), White Beetroot Juice (25%), Black Carrot Juice (18.8%), Blackberry Juice (6.2%)).
  • Blueberry & Carrot Flavoured Pieces (8%) made from (Concentrated: Apple Purée (82%), Apple Juice (60%), Blueberry Puree (14%), Carrot Juice (5%), Elderberry Juice (1%), Lemon Juice (1%), Wheat Fibre, Gelling Agent: Pectin, Natural Flavourings),
  • Maize Starch, Chicory Root Fibre, Sugar, Barley Malt Flour (1.5%), Vegetable Fat (Rapeseed, Palm), Hibiscus Powder (1%), Natural Flavourings, Salt, Yeast, Preservative: Calcium Propionate.

From a health point of view, a juice would be better and the description of the product is misleading. It is an industrial snack with very little fruit / veggie
