We’re looking for Mumsnet users to test Octenicare, a creme designed to help provide care for irritated, dry, flaky or fragile skin. This product test is open to Mumsnet users who suffer from dry, irritated, flaky or fragile skin, or have a child aged over 6 months who does.

Here’s what schülke has to say: “octenicare repair creme from schülke is formulated to protect and provide intensive care for irritated, dry, flaky and fragile skin. It has been used successfully by healthcare professionals to manage a variety of skin conditions. We’re now looking to make this unique creme widely available through pharmacies, but first we’d love to know what you think of it.”

If you’re selected, you’ll need to test the creme when you have a need for it within a 4-6 week period, and then give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey.

If you’re interested in taking part, please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

Signed up. Just curious when the selection is going to be made.

Yes please! I have impossibly particular skin, prone to extreme dryness and it can be really uncomfortable. I've been looking for a cream solution that works for many years to no avail.

I got chosen for this, thank you!
I didn't get notified so wasn't expecting Royal Mail to deliver today
Just a warning, don't open the envelope with a scissors. The walls of it have a sort of shredded paper kind of filling and it went everywhere!

VeganCow · 14/10/2020 23:27

Also got chosen and didn’t know until the package came today.
Have already tried it out, just put some on my face after washing. Not sure if it’s for face or body or both but too late now. No stinging which is a good sign as most creams tingle so I can’t put much on my face.
Will see how it does over a few weeks.

Mine arrived yesterday as well. Put some behind my ears before bed, but woke up to them feeling wet so don't know what that's about .

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 16/10/2020 09:30

I was picked too. It arrived a few days ago. I have started on the back of my hands and I do think they are looking less scaly which is great. Also didn't flake after a shower.
I really don't enjoy the feeling on my palms though but if it sorts my skin out I will put up with it.

VictoriaBun · 16/10/2020 17:59

My dc says it's helped their dry , irritated area .🙂

ProfYaffle · 17/10/2020 07:42

I'm impressed to far. The skin on my face gets dry and sensitive, even though I've only used this cream for a couple of days it's made a huge difference already.

I didn't realise we had sample sachets in the envelope, I managed to throw mine away Blush

BanditoShipman · 20/10/2020 00:30

I was picked (not notified though) and agree re the envelope! Do not open with scissors, fluff inside goes everywhere!

I’ve used the cream 3 times so far and it seems to be doing an amazing job, my flakey skin where I have used the cream, has disappeared. Waiting to see if cones back/how quickly etc

Caillou · 03/11/2020 19:39

I received the cream a while back, but no email notification or instructions to leave feedback. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Yes same here!
Twisique · 05/11/2020 15:01

Maybe they are waiting for some bad weather so our hands get really dry? Grin

JS06 · 10/11/2020 11:51

We've enjoyed using the repair creme with effective results, it seems quite a heavy formula but good for soothing and supporting fragile skin. My son and I suffer especially on the hands with constant washing and sanitising so using the Octenicare creme at night has been beneficial.

Like other posters though I wasn't aware I'd been selected til the package arrived and that's not like Mumsnet. Also there's generally a link subsequent to a test despatch for feedback but I can't find anything so posting here.

RuthTopp · 15/11/2020 17:28

I wonder when we are going to be asked to comment ?

kat200 · 17/11/2020 13:32

Yes please! Me and my son both suffer with dry itchy skin
