Initially I was very pleased with the colour after a shower this morning however the colour looked patchy after a spin class this morning. I do a lot of exercise and really struggle to find a tan that lasts through the sweat and showers! I will scrub this tan off in the next few days and try again - I did not exfoliate before applying this. I did love the smell though

I put mine on Saturday night. I’m a total tanning novice (few disasters in my teen years, had one spray tan about 10 years ago and used a few of those gradual tan things over the years). I’d never used a mitt before - don’t think they existed the last time I used a fake tan at home.

I must say I’m pretty impressed with the results. I only really missed one patch. My hands do look a little streaky but I was being a bit cautious with the application on them as I didn’t want to have the very obvious ‘fake tan’ hands.

I actually redone the missing patch and it turned out fine - no issues with doing that at all - I was expecting the overlap area to look a little darker but it’s nice and even looking.

I’m loving this sun kissed tanning mousse. The smell is lovely not your usual biscuit smell. It’s very easy to apply with the mitt and the colour is great I’ve got a natural looking tan on my legs at the moment and loving how they look.

I'm going to try this out again tonight, paying attention to the bits I missed before. I am really impressed so far. Although I think I slathered on too much as I was worried it would be too light. I will try again with a smaller amount.

I love the mitt, it really helps application. I think I'll put lots of moisturiser on my hands this time too.

Does anyone have any tips for applying the hands?

Applied some of the mousse last night and it smells amazing! I think I was a bit stingy as it was very pale and a little patchy this morning so I have just reapplied and it looks much better, just waiting to see how dark it goes. It’s really easy to apply with the mitt and dries so quickly, I was quite surprised. It has a lovely feel when applied and my skin feels beautifully soft afterwards. Very happy so far 😊

Ok didn't see the reviews underneath. Ignore my previous message!

I was nervous as I've had bad experiences with self tan in the past which have put me off trying it out more recently.

This stuff is great though. I used the mousse and applied to my legs only as I was nervous, however it went on easily (I had a couple of streaking issues but that was down to my inexperience rather than the product I'd say). I have pale at the moment but olive skin with yellow undertones (which tans easily). Despite the product being 'Dark', it looks VERY natural (and not orange at all). It doesn't smell too bad either. Will definitely use again.

I used the dark mousse. I normally find self tan difficult to apply but this went on easily with the mitt which was fab.
It smells great on application, less so when it’s dried and developed but still better than others I’ve tried.
The result was a very natural golden colour, possibly a little light for me but ok and not at all patchy or streaky even on knees. I also liked that it didn’t dry my skin like some brands have.
Found it a bit of a faff having to rinse it off after 6-8 hours as I applied in the morning after a shower so had to have another. Would apply overnight next time.
On the whole I really liked the mousse and would recommend it. I also liked its natural, environmentally friendly credentials.

I've just applied the jelly for the third time to build the colour. Have to say I'm loving it!
It's not sticky at all and dries really quickly.
Being clear and fast drying I did have a few issues with remembering where I'd got to but it was no streak and I just had one darker patch on my wrist which was probably bad application.
A few of the woman at work commented I looked like I'd been on holiday and how natural it looked and I'm really pleased with the colour.
It smells lovely when you first apply it but as it develops you get the unmistakable fake tan smell.
I'm interested to know how much this costs as if it's not £££ then I will be buying it again!

I have the jelly. I've applied it a couple of times now and I've got mixed opinions.

It smells amazing! It did have a slight biscuity fake tan whiff after a while, but the initial smell is so lovely.

It goes on really easily and dries very quickly. I like this a lot as I wasn't waiting for it to dry before I could get dressed. However, it does make it hard to remember where you've applied it - I definitely like tans with a guide colour for this reason!

The colour is really natural.

The mitt is lovely and soft.

However, it was a little patchy. I put a bit more effort in to my second application and I found it wasn't as patchy as the first, but still a bit more uneven than I'd have liked. I think I was possibly lulled in to a false sense of security with the quick dry easy application, so I'll give it another go being even more careful, and see if it is any better. I did find that some of the patchiness disappeared after I'd given myself a good scrub down in the shower.

Overall I'd recommend as a good, light fake tan. It's a really nice, natural colour and very easy to apply (badly, in my case). A little goes a long way and it smells really nice.

Tried the jelly for the first time and really loved the colour. The smell is lovely and it dried really quickly. Like others have said without guide colour and because it dries in so quickly I ended up slightly patchy in places but just need to perfect the application!

Update from me - I applied the jelly, and I love the smell, didn't smell fake tan-y for me. But it ws a tiny bit drying, didn't feel like it moisturised my skin that much. Plus, I can't really see a huge difference! Could be as I'm quite tanned already, and it is light/medium as opposed to dark maybe? But I didn't really notice the difference on a lightly tanned skin. So maybe I need to apply more? Or shouldn't have applied on a base tan?

Verdict = undecided

I used the jelly, smell was very nice didn't smell like typical tanning products. I thought application was easy and first use gave a nice glow, I applied again the next day and that gave me a nice sunkissed colour. I left it for a couple of days as I didn't want to go any darker then reapplied, colour developed well - just have to keep it up every few days. I found it gave no streaks or patchy areas but I did take my time on application.

Only downside for me was the mitt, I found it kept catching on my skin so the rough edge scraped me a few times. Could do with the stitching/ edge on the inside of the glove.

I have been using the gel.... love the smell!!
Was a bit anxious that it wasn’t colour tinted so I wouldn’t be able to see any bits I’d missed.... but I needn’t have worried. Applied easily and absorbed quickly into my skin. Being very fair I was anxious how dark this would be but it gave a lovely sun kissed look. With my skin tone I don’t need to top this up everyday so I’ve done three applications over the week.
Extremely impressed with this product and attractive packaging . Would definitely recommend for fair skin
I have had no confidence in self tan products before

I received the mousse.

I actually really liked this false tan. The process is easy, the guide colour means that you can see if you've missed any spots, the product itself glides on so easily and dries very quickly. My skin didn't feel tacky or sticky in anyway.

I applied it before bed (after moisturising) and was surprised to see, when I woke up, that none of the colour had transferred to my sheets! One of the things I hate the most with tanning is it ruining my linen so that was a really nice touch.

After washing it off I was left with a heathy, natural looking golden tan. Not 'Dark' but still lovely all the same, perfect for spring.
I applied a second coat the next day, just to see if the colour was buildable, and was happy with the results. The tan still looked natural but was a deeper colour (not murky brown like some other brands tend to develop into.)

With gentle exfoliation I've found that the tan has been fading evenly without leaving stubborn patches in the usual places. My skin doesn't feel as dry as it can do with other products so that's another bonus.

Overall, I don't have a bad word to say about this product. The packaging it was sent to me in was well presented (the personalised card was a lovely touch) and the product itself is in a nice bottle.
The environmental aspect is also a massive plus for me - with the ever increasing publicity of the wrecking of the environment it's important for everyone to do their part.
Fake tan is a product I use a lot of, so it's nice to know that by using Sunkissed I am not hurting the environment.

10/10 for me. Would recommend!

Many thanks for the opportunity to try out the tanning gel.

I was initially a little disappointed when I realised I'd been sent the light/ medium shade. When I use fake tan I usually go for a darker shade. However, I was interested to try out the jelly formulation so I gave it a go!

I applied the jelly in the evening after my shower. The smell was lovely, like sun cream, very summery. I used the mitt to apply the gel and couldn't believe how quickly it sank in. It was honestly the quickest self tanner to apply that I've ever tried. After applying I put a light layer of moisturiser on knees and elbows as directed, to stop it sinking into dry patches of skin. Really pleased with the application process.

Next morning I was incredibly impressed with the colour. Despite the product being labelled as light/medium, it was fairly dark and very natural looking. Certainly for a gradual tanner, the colour after only one application was very impressive. My feet were the only place where the tan looked a bit orange! I think I needed to be a bit more sparing with the gel on them!

The lovely smell did turn a bit biscuity by the next morning but nothing too bad. I didn't apply another layer of the tan the next day as I'd planned, as I was really happy with the colour as it was. Three days later and I'm still looking sunkissed!

Overall...I'm really impressed. Really easy to apply, lovely light formulation, great smell and super colour. I'd definitely recommend and am tempted to try other products in the range.

Update on the dark mousse.

Very easy to apply with the mit provided although I used a small sponge for my face.

Smells divine as you apply it and it’s easy to see where you put it on. It dries quickly.

It doesn’t transfer onto bed linen and gives a natural looking tan that lasted easily on me 3 days before I applied a top up.

I would actually purchase this.

Well, I’m going to have to as it’s been nicked by one of my stepdaughters! Grin

Fab product,

I tested the dark mousse, it was easy to apply, smelt lush, didn't transfer onto my bed sheets and lasted a good few days without top up, I am still considerably more tanned after a week than my boyfriend who now has his eye on it!

Would like to try the gel next but I would definitely recommend this product!

I was lucky enough to test the dark mousse.

The reason I had to wait this long to give my review is because I had to let my bondi sands wear off first — one final exfoliation later and I was ready! Smile

I applied the mousse in the evening and it smelled lovely consistency was manageable; the applicator mitt was of good quality too and made the process less of a faff. I used the remainder on the mitt to apply to my face.

I was slightly dubious about sleeping in my bed sheets with the product on, however there was no mess and when I showered in the morning I was pretty pleased with the application. Even and non-streaky! I am partial to quite the dark colour and so I did do a second application on day two. It faded in a uniform way with no patchiness and I would be happy to recommend this product to anyone who is cautious about trying it!

All in all it ‘does what it says on the tin’ - pleasing colour, not a faff to use and no patchiness as it fades after a few days.

I will consider repurchasing and will also try the jelly at some point.

Thank you for the opportunity to try this — my legs look nice and non-pasty even in spite of the cold BH weather 🙂

Final verdict. Twice I have applied this now.

Ease of applying is good. Went on smooth and dried very quickly. However the fast drying time meant it was easy to forget where I had applied.

Tanning mitt was very effective, it ensured even coverage and is definitely a necessity when applying. However, the stitching catches and scrapes at my skin, so was worried it would scrape the tan off.

I wouldn't say it was very moisturising. If anything, my skin seemed drier the next morning. It would need to be used with a moisturiser.

I found the smell rather nice and not biscuit-y, however it did turn a bit funky after a while and my DH hated the smell right away.

However the colour is lovely and I will continue to use it. Probably with a different tanning mitt, more moisturiser and a nose peg for DH.

Usually you'll have a link and fill in feedback on the site it leads you to, it's not usually this one. (Although I could be wrong)

I have Mediterranean skin and am always unsure whether to go for a medium which can be a bit pale or a dark which can be too dark. This dark mousse was just right. You only need a little bit because it goes a long way. It gives a good natural colour with looking like you're covered in fake tan. It smells nice and doesn't have the giveaway fake tan smell. I am pleased with the result especially as it looks as good on the face as it does on the arms and legs.
