We have been asked by the team at bareMinerals® to find 50 MNers to try their Complexion Rescue™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream.

Testers will be sent Complexion Rescue™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream (£27.00 RRP) and asked to try it at home and report back with feedback at least twice on a thread on MN (as well as add a review on MN). They will also be sent a Smoothing Face Brush that was specially designed for Complexion Rescue™ (£24.00 RRP).

Just got mine today! very excited to try it out.

MissMooMoo · 18/02/2017 16:38

Mine came this morning too. I LOVE it and the colour is perfect

AppleYumYum · 18/02/2017 20:18

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's reviews, let us know how quickly you can apply compared to using the loose mineral foundation?

I got the initial email which when I hit reply to the email it addressed it to Justine herself? Is that what happened to other people just out of interest, first competition I've tried for...

Ledkr · 18/02/2017 20:39

Anyone recommend it yet? Is a quite a light coverage

HoneyDragon · 19/02/2017 01:25

Ledkr. I'm impressed. It's great straight on, 2 minutes and instant even skin tone, but add powder contour etc and it's pretty much full coverage if you want it..

Ledkr · 19/02/2017 09:12

Thanks honey I can't stand a mask face. I wonder if I can get a sample?

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 19/02/2017 09:30

I've received mine and wore it yesterday - perfect shade match and really like how it looked and wore throughout the day!

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 19/02/2017 09:31

It is a really light coverage, I had to spot conceal a couple of places. It does give a nice healthy glow and evening out of the skin though.

PansyGiraffe · 19/02/2017 09:31

Yay! I was selected too.

Have put it on just now - very thin liquidy consistency (usually I use something more creamy) but effective coverage from not very much, my skin looks very even in colour.

Help me though people please - what is the brush for? The tinted gel says apply with fingers, the OP above talks about the brush being for Complexion Rescue at a different RRP to Complexion Rescue tinted hydrogel (or whatever it is called) - so is it just an extra, for a different product? I know usually with Bare Minerals you sort of buff your skin to set the foundation but I didn't think this applied here? Am I doing it wrong?

Maudlinmaud · 19/02/2017 09:57

Hi Pansy, I applied with my fingers, then concealed and went back in with a little more complexion rescue using the brush to buff in..I'm not sure there is a recommended way to use the product, but this worked on me.
I like it.

imnottoofussed · 19/02/2017 10:08

I watched some videos on YouTube last night, people seem to put the product on the back of hand or straight onto brush, then stipple it around the face with the brush then buff all over again with the brush. Going to try mine today.

lottieandmia · 19/02/2017 10:11

So is it like a tinted moisturiser?

flippinada · 19/02/2017 10:47

Just tried mine, really liking it so far.

If it's any help, I squeezed a bit out on the back of my hand and then used the brush to stipple it on. It has a nice, refreshing feel when you apply it and feels comfortable on.

It evened out my skin tone nicely and I'd say it has sheer - medium coverage. I have combination - oily skin so set my t-zone with powder.

MissMooMoo · 19/02/2017 14:54

Ive used it twice now.
First time I just used my fingers and second time I used the brush.
So quick and easy to put on,gives a lovely glow and quite good coverage.
I am already a convert Smile I think I will use something like this quite a lot as expecting dc1 in May and its very quick.

If I was going on a night out or to an event such as a wedding I would still use a foundation.

HollyJollyDillydolly · 19/02/2017 15:15

Ive uswd it twice now. Today I used a bit more and it builds up nicely. I'm really impressed. It gives better coverage than I was expecting but it doesn't feel like it's there. It looks like I just have naturally good skin! I've used bb/cc creams before but they make me look quite greasy but this doesn't at all. Really like it.

DreamsInBlack · 19/02/2017 15:25

Is anyone trialling shades for very fair skin, possibly Opal or Vanilla? Does it look very natural and light?

flippinada · 19/02/2017 15:37

Update: I've had it on since 10am and it still looks really good! Very impressed.

Dreams I'm trialling Birch, which is the second palest shade. I'd say it's a light - medium coverage (ie buildable) and very natural looking. It doesn't feel like you have make up on, if that makes sense?

PossumInAPearTree · 19/02/2017 15:50

I'm trialling vanilla. To be honest for me so far I think the coverage is a bit light. I couldn't go out in just this and not foundation. Will try building it up a bit tomorrow and see what I think. It's very hydrating.

DreamsInBlack · 19/02/2017 16:18

Thanks folks, appreciate your feedback. Popping in for some other make up bits & pieces tomorrow so will have a look instore.

MissMooMoo · 19/02/2017 16:19

I am also trialling Vanilla, light to medium coverage I would say.

HollyJollyDillydolly · 19/02/2017 16:32

I'm using Birch which is 1.5, it looks very natural looking.

MrsAlwaysRight · 20/02/2017 10:22

DreamsInBlack I'm testing the opal shade. It's a good match for my very pale skin.

Anonymous1112 · 20/02/2017 15:54

I missed out on the freebie so have gone and bought it as a treat. Opal here too, will report back 😄

DreamsInBlack · 20/02/2017 16:53

Thanks for all your help ladies. Had to change plans so won't get to the store till later in the week. Will get a consultation from one of the bareMinerals consultants - I used to feel so intimidated by those immaculate ladies at the beauty counters but I've had consultations with bareMinerals representatives before and they were lovely, really put me at my ease.

GloriaHotcakes · 20/02/2017 19:50

I've never used a brush before for this sort of thing Blush

Cam I have an idiot's guide please? I'm.trying birch.
